The Epicurean Santa Barbara Winemaker Evening series continues with one of the rock stars of the Paso wine industry: Don Burns of Turtle Rock!
Join ESB and Don Burns, owner and winemaker at Turtle Rock Vineyards and assistant winemaker at Saxum Vineyards, for an intimate evening of wine exploration. Experience the superior quality of Don’s highly rated wines that demonstrate one of the best expressions of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre in Paso Robles. Sourcing only the finest fruit from the sustainably farmed James Berry vineyard, G2 vineyard and the Kruse vineyard, Don’s Rhone-varietal wines have repeatedly earned scores in the mid 90’s from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.

With no glass going empty, members will personally enjoy 4 wines with Don Burns and his wife Claudia, along with 4 wonderfully paired passed appetizers. In addition to the great wine and delectable food, each guest will take home a very nice bottle of Turtle Rock wine to cellar or drink at home.

The Winemaker evening takes place in a very special and unique Santa Barbara home with a view like no other. This modern home, with its large arched glass walls, features an unusual panoramic northern view looking across the bay; from Ventura in the east, along the mountains past the 154 San Marcos pass, to Gaviota in the west. Truly a sight! The breathtaking north facing vistas set the stage for a wonderful evening of enjoying great wine, food and socializing with club members.
